Shift Pattern: Rotating Double Days
Week 1: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm
Week 2: Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–10:30pm and Friday, 8:00am–2:00pm
Salary: Competitive – shift allowance included
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing operation.
This position would suit an electrically qualified engineer who is confident with fault finding, repairs and electrical installations, but is also comfortable completing predominantly mechanical maintenance as part of their daily role.
You will act as the site’s electrical specialist when issues arise, while also supporting planned maintenance, production breakdowns, equipment upgrades and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete electrical fault finding and repairs across PLCs, motors, drives, sensors and control panels.
- Undertake hands-on mechanical maintenance involving conveyors, pumps, pneumatics and bearings.
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and support equipment reliability improvements.
- Assist with site upgrades, modifications and new electrical installations.
- Support the installation, commissioning and improvement of production equipment.
- Work closely with production teams to identify faults and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all engineering work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
- A time-served apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong electrical fault-finding, repair and installation skills.
- Solid mechanical maintenance knowledge and a willingness to complete predominantly mechanical work.
- At least five years’ engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- A safety-focused and proactive approach.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance principles.
- Experience within chemical, food or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- An understanding of DSEAR or ATEX regulations.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement or CMMS systems.
