Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Shift: 4 on 4 off days and nights.

Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

We are currently recruiting for an experienced engineer to join a busy production facility where you will play a key role in keeping high-speed manufacturing and packaging machinery running efficiently and safely.

The Role

Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of high-speed production and packaging equipment.

You will be expected to respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults effectively and minimise production downtime in a demanding, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery.
• Maintain and troubleshoot high-speed packaging machinery.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
• Identify recurring faults and implement preventative solutions.
• Assist with machinery installations, modifications and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
• Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability and efficiency.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed packaging machinery – essential.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working under pressure where production downtime needs to be minimised.
• A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent (Electrical).
• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Experience within FMCG, food, packaging or similar high-volume manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.
