About the Role
As a Music Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons that develop student's performance, composition, and listening skills. You will encourage creativity, confidence, and collaboration through both classroom teaching and extracurricular opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach performance, composition, and music theory
- Develop student's confidence in singing, instrumental work, and digital music production
- Assess, track, and report on student progress
- Support GCSE and A-Level Music (where applicable)
- Lead or contribute to school ensembles, choirs, and performances
- Organise concerts, events, and extracurricular music activities
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Music or related subject (desired but not essential)
- Strong practical musicianship and subject knowledge
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
- Experience with classroom instruments and/or music technology is desirable
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Willingness to contribute to wider school life and performances
