Looking for a Music teaching role in a supportive middle school environment?
Smile Education is working with a welcoming middle school in Redditch seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join from September 2026. The successful candidate will teach Music across KS2 and KS3, delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons that inspire students to develop their musical knowledge, creativity, and performance skills.
This role would suit an experienced teacher, ECT, or a teacher returning to the classroom looking for a positive and supportive working environment.
🏫 The Role
- Teach Music across KS2–KS3
- Deliver engaging practical and theory-based Music lessons
- Develop students' performance, composition, and listening skills
- Support student progress and prepare pupils for GCSE Music examinations
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Work collaboratively within the wider Performing Arts department and contribute to extracurricular music activities where appropriate
- QTS / QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Music at KS2 and KS3
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire students of all abilities
