Job Title: National Lift Manager

Location: National Travel required / Hybrid

Working Hours: 45 Hours Per Week

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experience National Lift Manager to join our company, working with one of our major UK supermarket clients.

Purpose of the Role:

Provide leadership and operational oversight of the Lift & Escalator function, ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of maintenance, reactive repairs, remedial activity and asset performance across the M&S estate.

Lead and develop a team of Lift-Off Coordinators and Defect Coordinators, creating a high-performing culture focused on customer service, technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Act as the operational and technical lead for Lift & Escalator services, managing supplier performance, driving delivery against contractual KPIs and SLAs, and ensuring all statutory and regulatory obligations are met.
Build trusted relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, providing technical expertise, performance insight and strategic recommendations to improve asset reliability, compliance and customer satisfaction.

Where do I fit in?
Your role reports to the Head of Technical Services
You will directly manage a Team of 2 Lift-Off Coordinators & 2 Defect Coordinators

Support business across whole of M&S estate- Retil, Non Retail (offices, DC’s)

Flexibility required to support a national operation and participate in out-of-hours escalation arrangements where required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong technical expertise and embrace City’s SCOPE framework – our way of working and building better maintenance together

Standards

  • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within Lift & Escalator engineering, maintenance or operational management.
  • Strong understanding of lift legislation, LOLER requirements, statutory compliance and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Experience within Facilities Management or a multi-site contracted environment.
  • Proven ability to manage service providers and ensure delivery against contractual obligations.
  • Strong understanding of CAFM systems and performance reporting tools
