The Role & About You
As a Train Cleaner, you'll be responsible for cleaning the interior of train carriages at Carlisle Station, ensuring every train is presented to a high standard before entering passenger service.
This is a 35-hour-per-week position, working a rotating pattern of 4 on / 4 off and 5 on / 4 off, with shifts from 8:00pm to 6:00am. The role is available for an immediate start.
Your responsibilities will include:
Cleaning seating areas, tables, floors, toilets, and touchpoints.
Removing waste and replenishing onboard consumables where required.
Completing cleaning tasks within tight turnaround times while maintaining excellent standards.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on role in a busy, safety-critical environment. You'll need to be reliable, able to follow procedures, work well as part of a team, and remain comfortable working permanent night shifts on a rotating roster.
We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards.
