About the Role
A friendly and welcoming nursery in Slough is seeking enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join their team on an ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified childcare professionals looking for consistent work in a supportive early years setting, with flexibility to work 3, 4, or 5 days per week.
You will support children aged 0–5 with their learning, development, and daily routines, helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children throughout the day with learning, play, and daily routines
- Assist in delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Encourage children's social, emotional, and communication development
- Support mealtimes, personal care, and transitions throughout the day
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
- Observe and report on children's wellbeing and development where required
- Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Supporting Teaching & Learning
- Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or early years setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Caring, reliable, and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to Work in the UK
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
- CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
