Nursery Cook - Northampton

We are looking for a caring, reliable and organised Nursery Cook to join one of our partner Nurseries friendly team. You will be responsible for preparing nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring all food is prepared to a high standard while meeting food hygiene regulations and dietary requirements.

The role is Monday - Friday, 7:45am - 1pm.

This is a rewarding role where you will play an important part in supporting children's health, wellbeing and development through healthy eating.

• Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children alongside the nursery manager.
• Cater for allergies, intolerance's, cultural and medical dietary requirements.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene in line with Food Standards Agency guidelines.
• Monitor stock levels and order food and kitchen supplies as required.
• Ensure food is stored safely and correctly.
• Complete daily cleaning schedules and food safety records.
• Work closely with the nursery team to promote healthy eating habits.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming kitchen environment.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working as a cook, chef or catering assistant (nursery, school or care setting experience is desirable but not essential).
• Holds, or is willing to obtain, a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Has a good understanding of allergens and special dietary requirements.
• Is organised, dependable and able to work independently.
