Job Title: Nursery Practitioners
Location: Medway (Chatham, Rochester & Gillingham)
Pay: £13 – £15 per hour (depending on Level 2/3 qualification and experience)
Contract Type: Supply
Shifts: 7:30am – 3:30pm | 8:30am – 4:30pm | 9:30am – 6:00pm

Are you a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner looking for flexible work in nursery settings? We’re seeking caring and enthusiastic practitioners to support a range of welcoming nurseries across the Medway Towns, helping children aged 0–5 learn and grow through play.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll be part of supportive and inclusive childcare teams, where creativity and curiosity are encouraged. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a variety of nursery settings while enjoying the flexibility of supply work. We also welcome applications from unqualified individuals with a passion for working with children who are looking to gain experience within early years settings

Responsibilities L2 & L3 Nursery Practitioners:

• Support the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework 
• Plan and deliver engaging activities to support children’s learning and development 
• Carry out observations and contribute to the assessment of children’s progress 
• Build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents/carers 
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment at all times 
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies and procedures 
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to support the day-to-day running of the nursery

Requirements:

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent) 
• Have experience working in a nursery or early years setting 
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework 
• Be passionate about supporting children’s learning through play 
• Be flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different nursery settings 
• We also welcome applications from unqualified individuals with relevant childcare experience who are looking to develop a career in early years
