We are currently recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner to join a well-established day nursery and preschool in Chingford, London, E4 7RS.
The nursery is set in a restored lodge on the edge of Epping Forest and offers children a warm, nurturing environment with extensive outdoor learning opportunities, including a spacious garden and a forest-school-inspired preschool area.
The Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will support children’s learning, development and wellbeing in line with the EYFS, helping to create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Supporting children’s social, emotional and physical development
- Completing observations and developmental tracking
- Carrying out key-person responsibilities
- Supporting children with daily routines and promoting independence
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers
- Working closely with colleagues and the wider nursery team
- Maintaining high safeguarding and health and safety standards
Requirements
- Ideally hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification
- Previous Early Years or nursery experience
- Good understanding of the EYFS
- Strong safeguarding knowledge
- Caring, reliable and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
