Full-Time Early Years Practitioner - Ham Street

We are looking for a warm, honest and hardworking Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly nursery in Ham Street, TW10 7HT.

Our nursery opened just over a year ago and offers a cosy, homely and nurturing environment where children can feel safe, secure and valued. As a relatively new setting, we are still quiet, giving our team the opportunity to build strong relationships with each child and provide genuine, individual care. We are excited about the future and hope to welcome more families as our reputation grows within the local community.

This is a lovely opportunity to join us at an early stage and become an important part of our nursery's journey.

The role

You will work as part of a small, close-knit team that supports one another and shares a genuine passion for helping children learn, grow and thrive. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
  • Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS.
  • Building warm and trusting relationships with children and their families.
  • Observing children's progress and helping to plan their next steps.
  • Supporting children's personal care and daily routines.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming nursery environment.
  • Working closely with colleagues to provide consistently high-quality care.

Working hours

This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours across four days each week.

Your working hours will be 7:30am to 6:30pm, with appropriate breaks. The four-day working week provides a regular weekday away from work while still offering stable full-time hours.

What we are looking for

We would love to hear from someone who is:

  • Honest, reliable and hardworking, with a positive attitude.
  • Passionate about caring for children and supporting their development.
  • Kind, patient and nurturing in their approach.
  • Friendly and confident when communicating with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Happy to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
  • Willing to contribute ideas and help our growing nursery flourish.
  • Committed to safeguarding children and providing the highest standards of care.

An appropriate Early Years or childcare qualification at Level 3 is a must and relevant experience would be desirable. Any appointment will be subject to the necessary safer recruitment and safeguarding checks.

What we offer

We believe that staff who feel supported and appreciated are best placed to provide excellent care. We are a friendly company that genuinely cares about our employees, the children in our care and the families who place their trust in us.

Our benefits include:

  • Heavily discounted childcare for staff.
  • Access to the Perks website, offering a range of discounts and benefits.
  • A relaxed and practical casual dress code.
  • Your birthday off every year.
  • A generous annual leave package.
  • A supportive working environment where your ideas and contributions are valued.
  • The chance to grow with a young nursery and play a meaningful role in its future.

If you are looking for a welcoming setting where children come first, relationships matter and staff are treated as valued members of the team, we would be delighted to hear from you.
