Room Leader – Baby Room (0-2 Years)
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, full-time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Room Leader to join our thriving nursery in Canary Wharf. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Room Leader to take responsibility for our nurturing and stimulating 0-2 year old room, supporting babies during the most important stages of their early development.

As a Room Leader, you will lead a team of practitioners to provide exceptional care and education, ensuring that every child receives the highest standard of support in a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment. The successful Room Leader will be passionate about early years education, have excellent leadership skills, and be committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for children and families.

The ideal Room Leader will be responsible for planning age-appropriate activities, monitoring children's progress, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring full compliance with EYFS requirements and safeguarding procedures. This Room Leader position requires someone who can inspire and motivate their team while building strong relationships with parents and carers.

We are looking for a Room Leader who holds a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above) and has previous experience working within a nursery setting, ideally within a baby room. A confident and proactive Room Leader will thrive in this role and contribute positively to our supportive nursery culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the daily operation of the 0-2 year old room.
• Support, mentor, and develop nursery practitioners.
• Ensure high-quality learning experiences for all children.
• Maintain accurate observations, assessments, and planning records.
• Build positive relationships with families and external professionals.
• Promote safeguarding and health and safety best practices at all times.
