Hays are recruiting for a Office Assistant. This role is based in Manchester City Centre and is Temporary to Permanent and to start immediately.
An established and growing professional services organisation is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Corporate Governance Assistant to join its Manchester-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a structured environment, supporting governance, compliance and company secretarial activities. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team and play a key role in ensuring important company records, meetings and governance processes are managed efficiently.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate meetings, including arranging venues, attendees and associated administration.
- Prepare and distribute board packs and meeting documentation.
- Provide administrative support during governance and board meetings where required.
- Maintain statutory records, registers and company information accurately.
- Support director appointment and resignation processes and associated documentation.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, advisers and service providers.
- Manage electronic filing systems and ensure documentation is accurately recorded and maintained.
- Maintain and organise documentation within SharePoint and Microsoft 365 systems.
- Assist with annual governance activities, policy reviews and compliance administration.
- Support wider business projects, corporate initiatives and company events.
- Undertake general office administration and ad hoc support duties as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous administration, governance, compliance, legal support or company secretarial experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- The ability to work effectively to deadlines.
- Confident communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong Microsoft Office and SharePoint skills.
- A proactive and professional approach to work.
- The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a wider team.
