Position: Online GCSE Physics & Maths Tutor
Location: Remote / Online
Rate: £27-£30 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Online GCSE Physics and Maths Tutor to support a learner with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will be able to deliver engaging, personalised lessons that build confidence, improve understanding, and help the student reach their academic potential.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified and experienced in teaching or tutoring GCSE Physics and Maths
- Proven experience working with learners with SEND
- Strong understanding of adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Enhanced DBS check (current and valid)
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
- Reliable internet connection and experience delivering online lessons
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored online GCSE Physics and Maths sessions
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit the learner's needs
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
- Create a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
- Liaise with parents/carers where appropriate
Desirable
- Teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, or other additional needs
- Familiarity with GCSE examination boards and current curriculum requirements
