Net Zero Evolution
Job Title: Operations Coordinator
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Sussex, Hailsham, East Sussex (office-based, five days per week)
Imagine the satisfaction of turning every signed contract into a seamless solar installation, where your meticulous planning and proactive communication keep projects flowing from handover to handover pack. You thrive on structure, yet come alive in fast-paced settings balancing schedules, suppliers and customer expectations to make renewable energy a reality across rooftops in Sussex. If you’re early in your career and eager to build deep expertise in solar project coordination, this role offers the perfect launchpad.
Why this role
Here, you’ll be the operational linchpin for our Sussex subsidiary, working directly with the General Manager to ensure our projects never miss a beat. From the moment a sale is logged in Group Central to the final compliance sign-off, your attention to detail and unwavering follow-through will protect margin, uphold quality and delight customers. No two days are the same, and each challenge you solve directly fuels your growth in a high-octane renewable energy business.
What you’ll do
You will own the end-to-end coordination of every installation, creating and managing jobs in our proprietary system and orchestrating the weekly ordering rhythm so that parts and kit are ready precisely when engineers arrive on site. Liaising with roofing, electrical teams and subcontractors, you’ll anticipate scheduling clashes and resolve them before they hit the diary. As the customer’s go-to contact, you’ll arrange surveys, installations and follow-up calls, keeping HubSpot up to the minute and ensuring a smooth handover into the installation phase.
Behind the scenes, you’ll raise purchase orders, reconcile invoices and maintain audit-ready project records in SimPro every commissioning certificate and digital form filed correctly. By tracking actual costs against estimates, you’ll flag any overruns early, supporting accurate invoicing and safeguarding profitability. Throughout, you’ll collaborate with Quality, Compliance and Health & Safety colleagues to ensure every job closes out fully compliant.
