Since its first beginnings in 1977 the company has gone from strength to strength, and more importantly, has learnt to change with the times in a rapidly changing market. Originally selling copier paper to offices, Clyde now sells a wide range of digital printing papers, corporate print and luxury presentation packaging.
Overall Purpose
Job Title: Operations Manager
Salary Band: £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience
Place of Work: Craigton Rd, Glasgow G51 3RB
Hours of Work: 06:30 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:30 to 15:00 on Fridays with 30 minutes unpaid lunchbreak.

This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the warehouse and delivery operations while ensuring the business continues to operate efficiently and safely. You'll be actively involved in booking and unloading deliveries, picking and preparing outgoing orders, and keeping the warehouse tidy and organised.
At the same time, you'll take responsibility for stock control, coordinating drivers, booking couriers, and ensuring compliance with health & safety and quality accreditations. As the business grows, you'll also support the development of processes, systems, and people to help us continually improve.

- Ensure warehouse and deliveries run smoothly every day, with issues kept to a minimum.
Duties and Responsibilities
Hands-On Warehouse Duties
- Book in, unload and check deliveries (from containers to smaller courier drops).
- Detailed quality checking of printed products
- Pick, check and prepare daily customer orders for dispatch.
- Support drivers with loading vans and planning routes.
- Book couriers and arrange collections.
- Replenish stock regularly to avoid delays in orders.
- Carry out stock takes and investigate any discrepancies.
- Maintain warehouse tidiness, safety and organisation.
- Carry out daily forklift checks, book servicing and repairs for vans, trucks and forklifts.
- Conduct racking checks and liaise with external inspectors when required.
