Operations Manager (Director Designate)

A rare opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join a very successful, established civil engineering contractor with ambitious expansion plans. This role offers the chance to lead operational delivery across multiple projects while playing a key role in business growth, process improvement and strategic development. There is a clear pathway to Operations Director in the short to medium term, and excellent earning potential.

The Company

A well-established and growing civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure solutions across a range of sectors. As well as maintaining its core business with an excellent client portfolio, the business is also expanding its presence within the Energy, Defence and wider Infrastructure markets.

The Role

Working with a strong leadership team, and very capable commercial and delivery functions, this role providers leadership across operational delivery, ensuring safe, profitable and successful project execution. Responsibilities include supporting project teams, strengthening client relationships, driving operational improvements, developing management teams and contributing to business growth through networking and repeat business opportunities.

Experience Required

Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Senior Contracts Manager or in a similar leadership role within civil engineering contracting is essential. Candidates should have experience managing multiple projects, strong commercial awareness, excellent leadership skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships. Experience within infrastructure, energy or defence sectors would be advantageous.
