Operations Manager – Industrial Process & Logistics, Location: Dudley, West Midlands | Salary c£50-60k + Benefits

We are currently supporting a specialist industrial processing and logistics business in the recruitment of an Operations Manager for their Dudley operation.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role within a specialist SME environment, overseeing a mixed industrial processing, warehouse, logistics and compliance-led operation. The business forms part of a larger international group but retains the feel of an independently operated SME, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, process control, regulatory compliance and customer service.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the site, leading operational teams whilst ensuring operational performance, health & safety, process integrity, audit standards and customer requirements are consistently maintained. The role also includes oversight of supplier and customer relationships, operational reporting, logistics coordination and maintaining robust compliance and audit processes within a controlled operational environment.

This role would suit an experienced Operations Manager, Site Manager, Warehouse & Operations Manager or similar operational leader from an SME industrial, logistics, processing, manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day operational management of the Dudley facility
• Leadership and management of warehouse, processing and operational staff
• Oversight of operational processes, compliance standards and audit controls
• Coordination of logistics and operational workflow activity
• Ownership of health & safety and operational best practice across the site
• Managing supplier and customer relationships
• Monitoring operational performance and continuous improvement activity
• Supporting operational planning, reporting and resource management

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience within an Operations Manager, Site Manager or similar operational leadership role
• Experience managing teams within an industrial, warehouse, processing, logistics or manufacturing environment
• Strong operational leadership and people management skills
• Good understanding of operational compliance, process control and health & safety
• Comfortable working within an SME environment with broad operational responsibility
• Experience within regulated, industrial processing or controlled operational environments would be advantageous but is not essential
