Operations Manager

My client is an established M&E contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services across predominantly residential projects. They are on the look out for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of projects and take responsibility for the day-to-day operational performance of the business. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects and operational teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. Working closely with the Directors, the Operations Manager will play a key role in developing the operational structure of the business and supporting its continued growth.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Strong technical understanding
• Experience managing multiple projects and operational teams simultaneously.
• Strong residential awareness, with a good understanding of project costs, labour, procurement, variations and profitability.
• Demonstrable experience leading and developing project and site teams.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality and compliance
• Strong professional presence with proven leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A forward-thinking attitude with the ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate:

• Ideally have a HNC or HND and good technical knowledge of electrical or mechanical services.
• Experience working in the residential sector
• Have the right forward-thinking attitude
• Strong professional presence with proven leadership and communication skills.
• Demonstrable experience in leading large teams
