We're working with a well-established and expanding logistics business that is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Specialist to join their busy operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced freight environment and enjoys managing shipments from start to finish while delivering exceptional customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a key role in coordinating domestic and international shipments, ensuring every movement is handled efficiently, compliantly and with outstanding customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing shipments from booking through to final delivery
• Coordinating air, road, courier and multimodal freight movements
• Liaising with airlines, hauliers, suppliers, overseas agents and customers
• Monitoring shipments and proactively resolving delays or service issues
• Preparing and processing shipping documentation accurately
• Providing customers with regular shipment updates
• Ensuring customs and compliance procedures are followed
• Obtaining supplier rates and assisting with job costing
• Checking supplier invoices and supporting profitability
• Maintaining accurate operational records within the freight system
• Working closely with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery

What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years' experience within freight forwarding or logistics operations
• Knowledge of air freight, road freight, courier or multimodal transport
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments
• Experience using freight forwarding software (Boxtop or similar would be beneficial)
