We are recruiting an Order Administration Coordinator to join the Internal Sales team of a well-established global engineering and technology business based in Milton Keynes.
This is a busy and varied role where you’ll take responsibility for coordinating the order entry process, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and on time, while keeping customers and internal teams updated along the way.
The Role
Working closely with Sales, Supply Chain and Operations, you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing and monitoring the Order Entry mailbox, ensuring orders and enquiries are dealt with promptly
- Coordinating and allocating workload to an overseas Order Entry team
- Ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and within agreed timescales
- Proactively identifying potential supply or fulfilment issues and communicating these to customers and relevant departments
- Liaising with customers and internal teams to resolve delivery date queries
- Providing administrative support to the Inside Sales team
- Setting up new user accounts and arranging express orders directly with suppliers
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring internal processes and procedures are followed
- Attending and contributing to team and cross-functional meetings
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve order processing efficiency and customer satisfaction
What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally have previous experience within order administration, sales support, customer service or a similar administrative role, along with:
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A clear, confident and professional communication style
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- The ability to work independently while being part of a busy team
- A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service
