Overhead Crane Operator - Winsford

ES Recruit are recruiting for experienced Overhead Crane Operators to join an established engineering and structural steel business based in Winsford. This is a long-term opportunity working within a busy workshop environment, handling and moving large structural steel beams and materials.

Who the role would suit

This role would suit someone with previous experience operating overhead cranes, slinging loads or handling heavy steel/metal products within an engineering, fabrication, manufacturing or structural steel environment.

Previous crane or slinging experience is essential; however, formal certification is not required, as the company will provide the necessary training and certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating overhead cranes within a busy workshop
• Loading and unloading machinery and work areas
• Moving large structural steel beams safely around the workshop
• Slinging and securing steel and other heavy loads
• Ensuring loads are correctly balanced and secured before lifting
• Working closely with welders, fabricators and production teams
• Following lifting procedures and site health & safety requirements
• Carrying out general workshop duties when required

Hours

Monday-Thursday: 7:45am - 4:45pm
Friday: 7:45am - 12:45pm
39 hours per week

Pay

£14.62 per hour PAYE
£19.04 per hour Umbrella / CIS
