Overnight Respite Support Worker: A-ND Highlands


Location: Main Office – Units 9-10 Bridgend Business Park, Dingwall, IV15 9SL. Overnight respite location – The Haven Suites.


Salary: Hourly rate between 7am-11pm - £13.45, flat rate during sleeping £97.68 or awakening hours (between 11pm-7am) £115.20

Shift Patterns:

  1. Full 18 hour Overnight (Sleeping only) 3pm – 9am

Are you passionate about supporting neurodiverse children, young people, and adults? Do you want to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and their families? A-ND ((url removed)) is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Neurodiversity Support Workers (NDSW) to join our team in Dingwall, Highlands.


The Role

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support during overnight respite stays for neurodiverse individuals, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being in a nurturing and inclusive environment.


  1. Provide overnight supervision and support tailored to individual needs, including personal care, emotional reassurance and personal outcomes.
  2. Follow individual personal plans, risk assessments and communication needs.
  3. Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of care.
  4. Support individuals with transitions, bedtime routines, and morning preparations.
  5. Monitor and respond to health needs, including administering medication (if trained and authorized).

Requirements

Preferred: Valid driver’s license, although non-drivers will be considered if all other criteria are met.


Essential: A passion for working with neurodiverse individuals and a commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care and support. Must register with SSSC. Valid driver’s license, although non-drivers will be considered if all other criteria are met.


Desirable: Previous experience in a similar role and relevant qualifications, although full training will be provided.
