Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Internal Package Manager to lead the delivery of the comprehensive internal fit-out packages for a landmark 16,500-capacity arena and entertainment venue. This role focuses on high-volume, high-performance internal wall systems, drylining, acoustics, and ceiling packages. You will ensure these critical elements meet strict acoustic isolation, fire rating, and crowd-load durability standards required for a major public assembly building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Package Ownership: Drive the procurement, design verification, site installation, and hand-over of internal partitions, drylining, acoustic baffling, and ceiling systems.
  • Performance Compliance: Ensure all wall installations strictly adhere to rigorous project specifications for acoustic decibel (dB) ratings and structural fire integrity.
  • Interface Management: Coordinate seamlessly with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) services to manage first and second-fix containment, penetrations, and access panels.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement strict field inspection regimes to monitor jointing, skimming, tape-and-joint quality, and deflection-head detailing.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Manage large-scale specialist trade contractors, monitoring their daily labor output, material supply chains, and adherence to the master schedule.
  • Safety & Waste Control: Enforce high standards of housekeeping, strict dust-suppression protocols, safe manual handling, and efficient material waste management.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Project History: Proven track record of managing internal fit-out and drylining packages exceeding £5M+ in value on major commercial, stadium, or high-occupancy public venues.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of high-performance partition systems (e.g., British Gypsum, Knauf, or Siniat), acoustic deflection details, and fire-stopping compliance (BS 476 / EN 1364).
  • Coordination Skills: Ability to read complex architectural details and utilize BIM/Navisworks software to identify and resolve spatial clashes with building services.
  • Qualifications: Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or extensive equivalent trade-management experience.
  • Certifications: Valid CSCS Black Card, SMSTS certificate, and recognized Fire Stopping Inspection awareness training.
