We are recruiting for a Packing Administrator to join a busy and growing manufacturing environment based in Leicestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day coordination of packing and dispatch activities. You will work closely with a range of internal departments to ensure orders, documentation and packing schedules are managed accurately and efficiently.

The Role

As Packing Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of the packing operation. Your duties will include:

  • Coordinating daily packing schedules and communicating requirements to the packing team.
  • Preparing and maintaining packing documentation, labels, delivery notes and production records.
  • Accurately entering and updating packing, stock and order information on internal systems.
  • Monitoring packing progress and escalating any delays, shortages or issues where necessary.
  • Working closely with warehouse, production, logistics, purchasing and customer service teams.
  • Checking orders and packing instructions for accuracy prior to dispatch.
  • Maintaining accurate records relating to stock, packaging materials and completed orders.
  • Monitoring packaging material levels and arranging replenishment when required.
  • Assisting with the investigation and resolution of discrepancies relating to orders, stock and packed quantities.
  • Producing reports and spreadsheets relating to packing and dispatch activities.
  • Responding to queries from internal teams, customers and suppliers.
  • Providing general administrative support within a busy warehouse and packing environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised, methodical and able to maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous administrative experience, preferably within a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or packing environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using stock, warehouse, ERP or order-management systems would be advantageous.
  • Experience within a precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing environment would be beneficial, but is not essential.
