Packing Operative

Hales Group are recruiting for a Packing Operative to join our well-established client based in Southwold. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual to work within a brewery environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring finished products are packed accurately, safely, and efficiently, maintaining the highest quality standards while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the brewery's packaging processes. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pack bottled, canned, and kegged beer products in line with production schedules.
  • Operate and monitor packaging machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Carry out quality checks on products and packaging materials, identifying and reporting any defects.
  • Label, box, palletise, and prepare finished goods for dispatch.
  • Ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work area in accordance with brewery and food safety standards.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Assist with line changeovers, cleaning, and basic machine maintenance where required.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or packing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks.
Location: Southwold
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Up to 4 days per week
Shifts: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 11:00am - 6:00pm
Contract: Temporary ongoing
