Venatu Recruitment Group are currently recruiting Potato Graders and Packers for our client based in Epworth (DN9).
This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with the potential to become permanent for the right candidates. We have immediate starts available and are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join a busy and fast-paced food production environment.

The Role – What Will You Be Doing?Working as part of a busy potato processing and packing team, your duties will include:
- Grading and sorting potatoes on a production line, identifying and removing damaged, rotten or unsuitable produce.
- Checking potatoes for quality, size, appearance and overall condition.
- Packing potatoes into bags, sacks and other packaging according to customer specifications.
- Weighing products to ensure the correct quantities are packed.
- Operating and monitoring basic production and packing machinery.
- Loading and feeding potatoes onto grading and sorting lines.
- Removing waste products and maintaining a clean and tidy working area.
- Labelling and preparing finished products ready for distribution.
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process.
- Moving packaged products and assisting with general production duties.
- Working towards production targets whilst maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
Shift PatternsWe have opportunities available on both fixed day and night shifts:
- Days: 6am – 6pm (£12.71 per hour)
- Nights: 6pm – 6am (£14.04 per hour)
These are fixed shifts, meaning you will remain on either days or nights. There is no rotating shift pattern.
What We Are Looking For
- Reliable and hardworking individuals with a positive attitude.
- Good attention to detail when grading and checking products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Comfortable carrying out repetitive tasks whilst maintaining quality standards.
- Physically fit for roles involving manual handling and lifting up to 25kg.
- Good timekeeping and attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in food production, agriculture, packing or warehouse environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
