Responsibilities of a Paint Sprayer

As a Vehicle Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for preparing and painting vehicles to a high standard, ensuring all work meets both company and manufacturer quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

● Preparing vehicles and panels for painting

● Mixing and matching paint accurately

● Carrying out primer, basecoat and lacquer applications

● Ensuring colour matches are achieved to a high standard

● Working efficiently to meet repair timescales

● Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

● Completing work in line with health & safety and quality procedures

● Working closely with panel beaters, MET technicians and other workshop staff

Requirements for Paint Sprayer 

We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Paint Sprayer who has:

● Previous experience within an automotive body shop / accident repair centre

● Strong vehicle preparation and paint spraying skills

● Good knowledge of modern paint systems and colour matching

● A high level of attention to detail

● The ability to work independently and as part of a team

● A strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction

● A professional and reliable approach to work

ATA accreditation or an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Refinishing would be advantageous, but relevant experience will also be considered
