Are you an experienced Paint Sprayer or a confident prepper looking for a long-term opportunity with a well-established and growing manufacturer?

We're recruiting for a skilled and motivated individual to join a busy finishing department in York. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has done body shop or vehicle prepping and is looking to move into spraying. Training will be provided on specialist equipment and materials, so applicants from a variety of spraying backgrounds are encouraged to apply.



The Role

As a Paint Sprayer & Powder Coater, you'll play a key role in ensuring products leave the factory with a flawless, professional finish. Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for preparing, coating and finishing components to the highest standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing products for painting and powder coating, including masking and surface preparation
  • Hand spraying and powder coating a range of fabricated products
  • Mixing paints and coatings to specification
  • Ensuring colour consistency and quality standards are maintained
  • Using sanders and hand tools to repair and prepare surfaces prior to finishing
  • Operating powder coating booths, infra-red ovens and gas ovens
  • Setting up, running and cleaning vacuum coating machinery
  • Maintaining spray booths and equipment to ensure efficient operation
  • Following all company health & safety procedures and quality standards


About You

We're keen to hear from candidates who have experience within paint spraying, powder coating, industrial finishing, automotive spraying, furniture finishing or similar environments.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in prepping, paint spraying or powder coating
  • Good knowledge of sanding, preparation and finishing techniques
  • Experience working with paints, coatings, lacquers and stains
  • The ability to mix paints accurately and achieve a consistent finish
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Benefits

£15.00 - £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Permanent role from day one
Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm
Overtime available
Weekly pay
33 days holiday per year
