Painter

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and other finishes, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality, safety, and cleanliness.

• Prepare walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and other surfaces for painting.
• Clean, sand, fill, repair, and prime surfaces as required.
• Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other protective or decorative finishes.
• Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other painting tools safely and effectively.
• Mix and match paints and colours according to specifications.
• Protect furniture, flooring, fixtures, and surrounding areas from paint and damage.
• Inspect completed work and correct any defects, uneven finishes, or imperfections.
• Maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work efficiently while meeting agreed deadlines and quality standards.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, colleagues, clients, and other contractors.
• Carry out other painting and decorating duties as required.

• Previous experience as a Painter or Painter & Decorator preferred.
• Good knowledge of painting, surface preparation, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
