A reputable accident repair centre in York is actively seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Panel Beater looking to develop a long-term career within a nationwide automotive accident repair group. The successful Panel Beater will benefit from competitive remuneration, excellent working conditions, and clear career progression prospects.

  • Competitive salary of up to £59,800 per annum
  • Paid breaks included in the 50-hour working week

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, with 1 in 2 Saturday mornings subject to business demand
Panel Beater Duties:
  • Replace and repair damaged or compromised bodywork panels
  • Conduct chassis and framework repairs
  • Perform welding and panel bonding tasks
  • Complete bumper and door repairs as needed
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of current product and repair techniques
  • Deliver high levels of customer service to promote customer loyalty and referrals
  • Adhere to health and safety standards and maintain an orderly work environment
  • Complete duties as specified on job cards, ensuring work meets manufacturer and company standards
  • Prioritise workload effectively, working independently while supporting team members during busy periods
Requirements:
  • Recognised qualification in automotive Panel Beating or actively working towards an IMI certification
  • Consideration will also be given to Panel Beaters with extensive panel beating experience and no formal qualifications
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Good organisation skills and initiative to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work independently whilst maintaining effective communication with colleagues
  • A UK driving licence with minimal points
