We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading accident repair group, for the position of Panel Beater in Newark. The ideal Panel Beater will have proven experience in structural and cosmetic repairs on commercial vehicles, including light commercial vehicles (LCV) and heavy goods vehicles (HGV). This role offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Duties of a Panel Beater:
  • Carrying out structural and cosmetic panel repairs on commercial vehicles
  • Working on a range of LCV and HGV vehicles
  • Replacing, repairing, and aligning panels to manufacturer specifications
  • Using appropriate repair methods and equipment, including MIG/MAG welding
  • Carrying out panel repairs with attention to detail and quality standards
  • Maintaining productivity, quality, and safety targets
  • Working effectively as part of a team to ensure high standards of vehicle repair
Requirements of a Panel Beater:
  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater within a bodyshop or commercial vehicle repair environment
  • Experience working on commercial vehicles is highly desirable
  • Strong panel repair and welding skills
  • Knowledge of MIG/MAG welding techniques
  • Commercial vehicle chassis and cab alignment experience is advantageous
  • Familiarity with commercial vehicle body repair standards such as BSI PAS 10125 or VBRA Elite Truck & Van Standards
  • ATA accreditation or an equivalent qualification is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable team player with a professional work ethic
