Parcel Sorters - Ad Hoc Work Available

The Best Connection Group are currently recruiting Parcel Sorters to join our well-established client based in the Shrewsbury area.

Position: Parcel Sorter
Location: Shrewsbury (SY1 3AS)
Hours: Flexible shifts available as required:

  • AM Shift: 02:30 - 07:00
  • PM Shift: 17:30 - 21:30

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary, Ad Hoc



The Role

This is a fast-paced warehouse position working within a busy parcel distribution environment. Successful candidates will be responsible for sorting parcels accurately and efficiently to ensure they are ready for onward delivery.



Duties Include:

  • Sorting parcels into designated locations
  • Loading and unloading parcels
  • Scanning and processing items
  • Working to deadlines in a busy warehouse environment
  • Manual handling of parcels
  • Keeping the work area clean and safe
  • Following health and safety procedures
  • Working effectively as part of a team


Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Physically fit due to the nature of the role
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Must be flexible, as shifts can vary between early morning and evening hours and work is offered on an ad hoc basis
