Make a real difference to the passenger experience by helping keep trains clean, comfortable and ready for service!

The Role and About You:

We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Day Shift Train Cleaner to join a busy train depot at Brighton Lover’s Walk. Working mainly weekends, you will play an important role in ensuring trains are clean, presentable and ready to provide passengers with a welcoming environment.

Your main responsibilities will include carrying out a range of interior train cleaning duties, including litter picking, hoovering, mopping, sanitising and deep cleaning. You will work as part of a dedicated team to maintain high standards of cleanliness across the train fleet, ensuring every train is ready for passenger use.

The standard working hours are Saturday and Sunday, 08:00am to 16:00pm. There may also be opportunities to work additional overtime shifts on Fridays, giving you the chance to increase your hours and earnings.

This is an active, hands-on role where you will spend most of your shift on your feet and carrying out physical cleaning tasks. Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, transportation or an industrial environment would be beneficial, but the most important qualities are reliability, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

You will receive full training and PPE, so you will have everything you need to carry out the role safely and effectively.

The Company:

Our client is a well-established and highly respected UK train operating company with a significant presence across London and the South East. The organisation is committed to providing safe, reliable and high-quality rail services while maintaining excellent standards across its train presentation and depot operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within the railway industry, work as part of a supportive team and develop your skills within an established rail environment.

Next Steps:

If you are reliable, hardworking and interested in building your experience within the railway industry, we would like to hear from you.

Following an initial CV review, shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a short pre-recorded video interview. Candidates who progress will then be required to complete the relevant pre-employment checks, including a Drug & Alcohol test and Right to Work check.
