Jayar Components is a well-established automotive parts distributor supplying quality components to customers across the south of England.

We are looking for an experienced Parts Advisor to join our busy Aylesford branch. This is a skilled position requiring strong automotive aftermarket knowledge and the ability to identify and supply the correct vehicle parts efficiently.

As a Parts Advisor, you will work closely with customers, colleagues and suppliers in a busy, fast-paced branch environment. You will play an important part in delivering excellent customer service, supporting branch sales and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Responding to customer enquiries in person and over the telephone.
• Accurately identifying automotive parts, components and accessories.
• Providing customers with product information, prices and availability.
• Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Liaising with suppliers and other branches to source parts.
• Developing positive relationships with new and existing customers.
• Supporting the branch in achieving its sales and service targets.
• Using the company’s computer systems to process enquiries and orders.
• Working with colleagues to ensure customers receive a prompt and reliable service.

Requirements

• Previous experience working within the automotive aftermarket or motor-trade parts industry is essential.
• Good all-round knowledge of vehicles, automotive parts and suppliers.
• Strong communication skills and an excellent telephone manner.
• A helpful, professional and customer-focused approach.
• Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
• The ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A willingness to develop product knowledge and contribute towards sales targets.
• A valid driving licence.

Previous automotive aftermarket experience is essential for this Parts Advisor vacancy. Management and counter-sales positions within Jayar Components are specialist roles, and applications from candidates without relevant automotive parts experience will not be considered.

Experience:

• Automotive aftermarket: At least one year required.

Education:

• GCSEs or equivalent preferred.
