We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Parts Advisor/Driver on behalf of a reputable multi-franchise approved car dealership in Newport. This unique opportunity combines vehicle parts advisory responsibilities with driving duties, offering a varied and engaging role within a busy Parts Department. The Vehicle Parts Advisor/Driver will report directly to the Parts Manager and collaborate closely with a team of three other parts staff, ensuring smooth operation of parts supply to the workshop and customers.

  • Starting salary of £26,500 per annum, with the potential to earn £29,000 to £30,000 annually through an uncapped bonus scheme.

Duties of a Parts Advisor:
  • Accurately identify and pick vehicle parts to meet workshop requirements.
  • Promptly deliver parts to customer locations using the company vehicle.
  • Manage parts stock control, inventory audits, and ordering.
  • Provide excellent customer service, dealing with trade and retail enquiries.
  • Assist workshop staff with parts supply and perform administrative tasks through electronic catalogues and dealer management systems (notably Pinnacle).
  • Ensure efficient out-in van deliveries and stock management within the dealership.
Requirements of a Parts Advisor: 
  • Recent or current experience within the automotive industry, ideally in parts or aftersales roles.
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems or parts is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficient IT skills, including working with electronic parts catalogues and dealer management systems.
  • Clean UK driving licence with minimal points.
  • Strong customer service and sales skills, with a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently during deliveries and as part of a team within the parts department.
