We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple sites nationwide, for the position of Vehicle Service Advisor at their Oxford dealership. Duties of the Service Advisor:
  • Engage with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and excellent customer service
  • Manage the booking in and scheduling of vehicle servicing appointments in line with workshop capacity
  • Keep customers informed of vehicle progress proactively and accurately
  • Identify customer needs, produce comprehensive quotations, estimates, and invoice documentation
  • Explain work carried out to customers clearly, highlighting additional service opportunities where appropriate
  • Produce warranty job cards following manufacturer policies and procedures
  • Record all work requirements accurately, categorising retail, warranty, internal, and non-chargeable repairs
  • Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure the availability of required parts
  • Assist in assessing vehicle issues and providing solutions that meet customer expectations
Requirements of the Service Advisor:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or similar role within the automotive industry
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Organisational skills with proficiency in IT; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop is desirable
  • Full, clean UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Ability to work in a team environment, prioritise tasks, and handle administrative duties accurately
  • Knowledge of warranty procedures and commercial vehicle operations is advantageous but not essential
