Our client, a reputable accident repair group based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, is seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Manager to lead their parts department. Duties of the Parts Manager:
  • Manage the parts department, overseeing sourcing, ordering, and controlling parts inventory to ensure availability and competitive pricing
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, proactively resolving shortages, delays, and discrepancies
  • Check all received parts for accuracy, quality, and damage, addressing issues efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, credits, and stock movements to ensure effective stock control
  • Collaborate closely with Technicians, Workshop Controllers, and VDA teams to prioritise parts requirements and minimise repair delays
  • Ensure the parts environment adheres to safety, organisation, and industry standards
  • Monitor industry trends and implement procurement strategies to optimise parts supply
Requirements of the Parts Manager:
  • Proven experience in parts management within the automotive or motor trade sector
  • Strong knowledge of parts ordering, stock control, and inventory management systems
  • Understanding of workshop operations and the impact of parts availability on repair workflows
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience with web-based systems, Excel, and email communication
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution
