The Role

In this role, you will help manage complex, end-to-end payroll processing for a large, multi-site healthcare workforce. You will gain invaluable exposure to intricate shift patterns, diverse pay rates, and fast-moving compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Assist in processing high-volume weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
  • Query Resolution: Act as a helpful first point of contact for employee payroll queries regarding tax, pensions, and pay rates.
  • Data Management: Input and update payroll data, including timesheets, new starters, leavers, and statutory adjustments (SSP, SMP, SPP).
  • Healthcare Compliance: Navigate complex healthcare pay structures, ensuring full compliance with changing legislation and NHS/private framework guidelines.

What We Are Looking For

  • High-Volume Experience: Previous experience working within a fast-paced, high-volume payroll environment (healthcare, recruitment agency, or bureau experience is highly desirable).
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and comfort managing complex data sets or variable hours/shift patterns.
  • Ambition to Learn: A genuine desire to undertake further professional study and advance your career within the payroll industry.
  • Tech Savvy: Good proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and experience with mainstream payroll systems.
