We're partnering with a growing international business to recruit a Payroll Manager into a standalone position offering autonomy, variety and the opportunity to support payroll operations across multiple countries.
Client Details
Reporting into the Finance team, the Payroll Manager will take responsibility for the end-to-end payroll process across multiple entities, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time every month. You'll manage payroll across the UK and smaller overseas operations, with future opportunities to become involved in additional international payrolls as the business continues to grow. This is primarily a payroll-focused role, although there will be opportunities to support the wider finance team with payroll-related and administrative tasks where required.
Description
The key responsibilities of the Payroll Manager Include:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and company policies.
- Resolve payroll queries and provide guidance to employees on payroll matters.
- Collaborate with the finance team for accurate reporting and reconciliations.
- Maintain and update payroll systems and records as required.
- Support audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and information.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
- Supervise and develop the payroll team, providing training and support.
Profile
A successful Payroll Manager should have:
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
- A thorough understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
- Experience in managing payroll within the retail or a similar industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with employees and other departments.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
