PDI Technician in Bedford

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a prestigious main dealership in Bedford, seeking an experienced PDI / Service Technician to join their workshop team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled PDI / Service Technicians aiming to develop their careers within a reputable dealership environment.

Benefits:
  • Basic salary up to £39,000, depending on experience

  • 45-hour week with weekends on a rota

Duties:
  • Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to manufacturer standards
  • Performing servicing, maintenance, and routine repairs on vehicles
  • Conducting vehicle health checks and identifying additional work required
  • Adhering to manufacturer standards, technical information, and repair procedures
  • Collaborating with the workshop team to meet departmental targets and uphold high standards of workmanship
  • Ensuring vehicles are prepared to the highest standard prior to customer handover
  • Keeping up to date with manufacturer technical training and developments
  • Contributing to delivering an exceptional customer experience
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician, or PDI Technician within a main dealership or busy workshop environment
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Good understanding of servicing, maintenance, and vehicle preparation
  • MOT Licence is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a highly skilled team
