Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Start Date: Immediate / January 2027
Pay Rate: £130–£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Qualification: QTS required
Experience: Minimum 6 months’ teaching experience in a UK secondary school
Overview:
Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Nottingham to recruit a dedicated PE Teacher for a position starting immediately or in January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled PE educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5. Nottingham schools pride themselves on strong community engagement, competitive sports setups, and high aspirations for student participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the KS3 & KS4 PE curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Nottingham
- Plan, prepare, and assess PE lessons in line with department policy
- Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions
- Lead extra-curricular sports clubs and school fixtures
- Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching PE experience in a UK secondary setting
- Is passionate about Physical Education and student achievement
- Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
