About the Role
As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons across a range of sports and fitness activities. You will encourage participation, resilience, and sportsmanship while supporting student's physical development and well being.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach a variety of sports including team games, athletics, gymnastics, and fitness
- Deliver both practical and theory-based lessons (where applicable)
- Assess, track, and report on student progress
- Support GCSE and A-Level PE / Sports Science (where applicable)
- Promote health, fitness, and well being across the school
- Organise extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and school teams
- Support inter-school competitions and sporting events
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related subject
- Strong practical sporting ability and subject knowledge
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
- Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and student well being
- Willingness to contribute to wider school sport and enrichment
