PE Teacher

About the Role

As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons across a range of sports and fitness activities. You will encourage participation, resilience, and sportsmanship while supporting student's physical development and well being.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach a variety of sports including team games, athletics, gymnastics, and fitness
• Deliver both practical and theory-based lessons (where applicable)
• Assess, track, and report on student progress
• Support GCSE and A-Level PE / Sports Science (where applicable)
• Promote health, fitness, and well being across the school
• Organise extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and school teams
• Support inter-school competitions and sporting events

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related subject
• Strong practical sporting ability and subject knowledge
• Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
• Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and student well being
• Willingness to contribute to wider school sport and enrichment
