Zachary Daniels Recruitment

Remote-friendly

People Advisor

30 hours per week | 4 or 5 days

Hybrid & Field Based

Zachary Daniels are partnering with a well-known retail business to recruit a People Advisor to support their Ireland retail estate.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced HR / People Advisor who has a strong background in Employee Relations and enjoys having plenty of autonomy in their role.

Sitting as part of a wider People team, you will be the dedicated People contact for Ireland, predominantly supporting managers with ER casework, day-to-day people queries and coaching.

The role is 30 hours per week and can be worked across either 4 or 5 days, offering genuine flexibility.

You'll work on a hybrid basis with 2 days from home and the remainder of your working week spent out within stores, predominantly around Dublin where the largest concentration of stores are based.

What you'll be doing:

* Managing a varied ER caseload from start to finish, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance cases
* Providing managers with pragmatic, commercially focused advice on day-to-day people matters
* Coaching managers to confidently manage people issues and build their own capability
* Providing up-to-date advice on Irish employment law, ensuring policies and processes remain compliant
* Attending stores to support more complex or sensitive meetings where face-to-face support is required
* Building strong relationships with Store and Area Managers across the Ireland estate
* Completing quarterly store visits alongside Area Managers to understand what's happening within their region and provide proactive People support
* Delivering coaching and training to managers where required
* Working closely with the wider People team, whilst taking ownership for your own workload and priorities

What we're looking for:

* Previous experience within an HR Advisor, People Advisor or Employee Relations role
* Strong ER case management experience - an employment law advisory background would also work really well
* Good working knowledge of Irish employment law
* Confident advising and coaching managers through complex people matters
* A self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously and managing their own diary
* Someone who enjoys building relationships and being visible within the operation
* Comfortable travelling across the Ireland retail estate, including occasional overnight stays

The working pattern:

30 hours per week across 4 or 5 days

If working 4 days - typically 2 days from home and 2 days within stores.

If working 5 days - typically 2 days from home and 3 days within stores.

The majority of store visits will be in and around Dublin, alongside quarterly travel to other areas of the Ireland estate.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexibility without compromising on the scope of their role. You'll have real ownership of the People agenda across Ireland whilst still having the support of an established wider People team.
