The Oakleaf Group is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our busy multidisciplinary therapy team, working within the specialist field of brain injury and neurological rehabilitation.
About the Service- The Oakleaf Group
Provides specialist care and rehabilitation for adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions across a number of services, with a total of 122 beds. Our main site in Hartwell, Northamptonshire, has been awarded an Outstanding rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our services include assessment, active rehabilitation, community rehabilitation and long-term/maintenance placements. We pride ourselves on delivering individualised, person-centred rehabilitation programmes that enable our residents to maximise their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
The Role
You will:
Many of our residents require specialist physiotherapy input to maintain and improve their mobility, strength, balance, physical function and overall wellbeing. You will play an important role in supporting residents to remain physically active and achieve their individual rehabilitation goals.
The successful candidate will:
- Complete comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and identify individual rehabilitation needs.
- Devise, implement and regularly review resident-specific physiotherapy treatment programmes.
- Provide appropriate exercise programmes and interventions to promote mobility, strength, balance and physical wellbeing.
- Monitor and document residents’ progress and outcomes.
- Produce high-quality assessment and progress reports.
- Present physiotherapy updates and recommendations at multidisciplinary and resident review meetings.
- Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychology, Nursing and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Support care and therapy staff to promote consistent implementation of physiotherapy programmes.
- Contribute to a positive culture of rehabilitation, health, fitness and wellbeing across the service.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
Requirements
This role would suit a qualified Physiotherapist who is passionate about rehabilitation and supporting people to achieve their potential.
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
- A recognised Physiotherapy qualification and relevant professional registration.
- An interest in, or experience of, neurological rehabilitation and acquired brain injury.
- A genuine passion for health, fitness, mobility and physical wellbeing.
- Excellent communication, assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A positive, enthusiastic and person-centred approach.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
Experience within brain injury or neurological rehabilitation would be advantageous, although we welcome applications from physiotherapists who are keen to develop their specialist knowledge in this area.
