Plant Fitter

DK Recruitment are recruiting for a Plant Fitter on behalf of a well-established construction and plant hire business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on a wide range of heavy plant and construction equipment, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to keep machinery operating safely and efficiently.

The Role

• Service, maintain and repair a range of construction plant and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
• Complete inspections and ensure equipment meets safety standards.
• Accurately complete job sheets and maintenance records.
• Work efficiently to minimise equipment downtime.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, Heavy Plant Mechanic or Construction Equipment Technician.
• Strong knowledge of construction plant such as excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, rollers, loaders or crushers.
• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions and electrical systems.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Relevant engineering qualification
