Plant Manager

Location: Morocco | Rotation: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off | Contract: 15 months

We are recruiting a Plant Manager to take overall responsibility for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of a major process plant in Morocco, leading the transition from commissioning and start-up into sustainable production. Working a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation on a 15-month contract, you will be the central point of leadership across operations, maintenance, engineering, HSE, contractors and the wider project team.

The Role

  • Hold overall responsibility for safe, reliable and efficient plant operation.
  • Set the HSE and process safety standard and build a strong safety culture across the workforce.
  • Lead the operational transition from commissioning through first start-up and ramp-up to normal production.
  • Build and lead a high-performing plant organisation, developing local talent and succession plans.
  • Manage EPC contractors, vendors and specialist interfaces.
  • Ensure operational readiness across people, procedures, spares, tools, systems and competency.
  • Own the operating budget and control expenditure, providing accurate forecasts and recovery plans.
  • Establish an Operational Excellence programme and drive root-cause improvement rather than short-term fixes.

What You'll Bring

  • Senior plant or operations management experience in oil and gas, gas processing or petrochemicals.
  • Proven commissioning, start-up and ramp-up leadership.
  • Strong HSE and process safety leadership.
  • Budget control and contractor management experience.
  • A track record of building and developing operating teams, ideally in a greenfield or new-plant environment.
