Job Description

We have a number of contract opportunities available for experienced PLC Programmers to support high-value automotive commissioning projects based in Germany. This is an excellent opportunity to work on bespoke automation machinery, including pick-and-place systems, within a fast-paced engineering environment.

The contracts are expected to run until Christmas 2026, with immediate starts available for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Commission PLC software on high-value automotive automation projects.
• Work on bespoke machinery, including pick-and-place systems.
• Support installation, testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation during commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure systems are delivered to specification.
• Identify and resolve control system issues efficiently on site.

Essential Experience

• Strong experience programming and commissioning PLC systems using Siemens TIA Portal.
• Previous experience working within the automotive sector.
• Confident working on site during commissioning and start-up phases.
• Ability to troubleshoot automation and control system issues independently.

Desirable Skills

• Profinet experience.
• Sinamics experience.
• Motion control experience.
• Offline programming experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
