We're looking for a PLC Engineer to support the design, development and delivery of industrial control systems. Within this role you will combine office-based engineering, remote working and occasional site visits. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary project teams to develop, configure and commission PLC-based control systems across a range of engineering sectors.

What You'll Do
As a PLC/SCADA Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering automation and control solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including:
- Configuring, programming and testing PLC-based control systems using industry-standard platforms
- Supporting the development and integration of HMI and SCADA systems (where applicable)
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to understand client requirements and develop effective technical solutions
- Producing robust, reliable control system designs that comply with safety, regulatory and customer standards
- Supporting system integration, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT) and commissioning activities
- Diagnosing faults and providing technical support during installation and commissioning
- Preparing technical documentation, reports and design records throughout project delivery
- Supporting project planning, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
What We're Looking For
- Experience programming and configuring PLC-based control systems using common industrial PLC platforms
- Good understanding of industrial automation, instrumentation and control principles
- Knowledge of HMI and SCADA systems (desirable)
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and safety-related control systems
- Understanding of relevant electrical standards and regulations (BS/IEC standards)
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications, P&IDs and technical documentation
- Experience supporting installation, commissioning, testing and fault-finding of control systems
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Control & Automation Engineering, or a related discipline
