This is a Plumber role based at a prison in Cardiff, working as part of a dedicated facilities and maintenance team responsible for keeping the site safe, compliant and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

As a Plumber, you'll be responsible for maintaining the site's plumbing systems and supporting the wider facilities operation, including:

  • Carrying out routine and reactive plumbing maintenance
  • Repairing and maintaining mains water systems
  • Diagnosing faults and identifying issues with plumbing equipment
  • Inspecting plumbing systems and carrying out water sampling
  • Completing risk assessments and compliance checks
  • Supporting general maintenance duties when required
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standards

What we're looking for

To be successful in this Plumber role, you should have:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating
  • Previous experience carrying out plumbing maintenance within a commercial environment
  • Good knowledge of plumbing and heating systems
  • Strong fault-finding skills
  • Legionella awareness is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
